It made an already stressful situation very complicated and overwhelming. Over the two years it took to get my case finalized, Ms. Lovett was consistently responsive. She always took the time to explain my legal options thoroughly, and made sure I understood exactly what to expect in the family court process. After years of trying to get my son a passport, we were able to get it in months. She efficiently handled my case with such professionalism. I cannot say enough great things about how incredibly knowledgeable, thoughtful, understanding, kind, intelligent, and helpful Katy was throughout my divorce process. She answered every question I had, posed ones I had not considered at all, and worked through each scenario along the way. I recommend Katy to anyone who asks about my divorce experience, because she made such a difficult time seem manageable, when prior to meeting her I was drowning in overwhelm and anxiety. She explains family law in an easy to understand way. I felt prepared for everything that came our way because of her. She was my best asset in the unique custody situation I found myself in after mediation. Katy was responsive, and timely when any questions arose. When it felt like nothing was moving, Katy kept the ball rolling forward and moving towards resolution with my ex. I am eternally grateful for her help and expertise in family law. Nicholas Kalescky498 days agoMy wife and I retained Katy Lovett to help us through a step parent adoption for our children. Prior to meeting with Katy we had previously spoken with 2 other law firms who did not seem as confident in the process. When we met with Katy she provided us clear steps and how to navigate the adoption and exactly how she would approach the case. She was well versed in the recent updates to the Texas Family Code, a few of which directly pertained to our proposed case and was able to guide us through the adoption. There were no setbacks, delays or changes and last week our family celebrated the adoption becoming final. Our family is genuinely grateful for the work of Katy and her staff. She was always responsive, answering emails and questions the same day. She was open with her thoughts on our case and what could happen, and in the end she got us the result we were hoping for. Dana Kellner533 days agoI cannot begin to express how thankful I am for Katy! We first became her client in 2022 when she was at a different firm in Cedar Park. She represented us in our son's adoption. She worked quickly, efficiently, and with great compassion after we had a terrible experience with a different attorney. Fast forward to last week, I was looking for some paperwork, and found out I neglected to send it to the state for filing. It was MY MISTAKE. One I missed for THREE years. Katy called me over the weekend after seeing that I had booked a consultation for April 1. She remembered me THREE YEARS LATER. She took care of the matter within 1 business day, even though it was my mistake. She did NOT nickel and dime us like so many attorneys do. She truly prioritizes her clients needs and well-being.
